A National Day of Action for Public Schools
On Wednesday February 17, 2016, the Chicago Teachers Union staged a school walk-in protest that was coordinated with many organizations across the country. The walk-ins were designed to draw attention to the classroom needs of teachers and students. Public schools are being starved of funds depriving teachers of adequate resources to teach. Parents, teachers and students gathered 30 minutes prior to school opening on Wednesday and in solidarity, walked in with teachers and students.
