Presidential Candidate Trump gets a taste of his own medicine
Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump was to appear for a rally at University of Illinois-Chicago on Friday March 11, 2016. The Pavilion on the campus was at capacity of 9,500 to hear Donald Trump speak. But this time Trump was the one denied the opportunity to speak by the 6,000 to 7,000 protesters outside and inside the Pavilion and the rally was cancelled.
Trump has faced interruptions before at his rallies but he has always been able to get the protesters thrown out. Just about any rebuttal to Trump's opinion has been shut down. As the event drew closer the crowds outside the Pavilion grew larger and louder against Trump. The event was to start at 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. About 1,000 protesters had infiltrated the Pavilion. Then about 7:00 pm an organizer took to the stage to announce the plug had been pulled on the rally. As the word spread to the crowd outside the mood changed to a celebration.
Mr. Trump claimed that he was denied his first amendment rights. Of course he has consistently denied first amendment rights to so many others as well. So Trump got a taste of his own medicine. Guess what? He did not like it, which is the clear sign of a bully; they run and hide when the same bully tactics are used on them. Below are pictures taken from the rally:
